Harley and the Davidsons - Discovery Channel

Anyone else watch the 3 night series Harley and the Davidsons?

I was pleasantly surprised with the series. Was very well written and acted I thought and gave a lot of insight on the progression of Harley Davidson from the beginning until the Knucklehead era. It did paint Indian with a heavy villainous brush stroke though. Didn't make the AMA look too good either. Not sure how true or accurate to the real story it was but was entertaining. If you didn't catch it it is on the Discovery Channel website for viewing or looks like they are re-airing all 3 episodes this Saturday and Velocity channel is airing them on Sunday.

Glad to see the Discovery Channel is airing bike inspired shows. Sacred Steel Bikes is a new series
airing there too, will give it a DVR setup and a look to see what it is like.

I thought the same about indian. The furst episode almost seemed a bit scripted for ratings being unsure how cutthroat things actually were but over all good series. Interesting info in it. Funny how they sold build plans to the japanese then we all know later imposed an import tariff on the imports bigger than 750's. I read after that the japanese company that bought the ideas off harley cut ties with them after 6 years, they had what they wanted. Series also made ford out to be just as bad as indian. Was a neat fact to read at the end tho that the knucklehead was the last bike that the founders ever released together.

I watched all 3 and really enjoyed it. Noticed a few "odd" things, one being the car(s) had the steering wheel on the right. Apparently it was shot in Romania so that might have had something to do with it??
