so the rubber holding unit for my front turn signal's has all but dissolved so im looking at putting a new set on. my question is what do you guys think would be a great set to go with.
i have highway bars so need something some what low profile/ wont hit and get broken when the bike is turned when stopped.
i was thinking about the LED strips that go around the forks but was not sure how good they are or how stylish they could be.
the bike is white paint with chrome for the rest. image below. just let me know what you guys think and toss me some idea's.
I recently upgraded to these, they’re LED’s, but they act like driving lights at night and really bright. They’ll flash fast, and the amber is really bright.
Here’s what they look like on my 950. I got them off amazon for around $15.00 a pair. They’re called switch backs.

Keith you have my attention. They Illuminate the road better for you? Do they flash too fast? Does the flash speed impair the visibility of the rear directionals? More light in the front is better day and night. I am contemplating passing lights but don't want too much power draw.
Not sure if this is applicable now but if you go to the For Sale thread at the bottom of the main page there is a post there by @robbz28 that is offering up turn signals for a 650 in addition to other things for free. You do have to pay for shipping from Louisiana but it might be worth a shot to PM him and see whats available.
I added OEM passing lamps to my 950. Halogen. Plugged right in to the aux power plug in the headlamp bucket. No power draw issues for me yet. I have had them in since the winter but have been running them all year so far. The Run/Turn/Brake kits from Kuryakyn come with a module that will slow down the fast flash when using LED bulbs in the front and rear turn signals. I did mine and they are for sure brighter and the rear's are extra brake lights and running lights plus they flash 3 times when braking before on solid. I would highly recommend them. You may need to replace your rear lens with red ones but it is a cheap investment in safety. Thats my 2 cents worth...
Yes, much brighter at night. They flash faster than stock but my turn signals are self cancelling. I’m sure you could put in a resistor to flash normally, but it’s an attention getter for sure. I have the kuryayken triple whammy kit installed for the rear and that helped at night as well.
If you like the style of the lights then they look great. The mounts might work. Show they are for 49mm forks. I don't have a 650 so can't measure. The other issue would being able to achieve a clean wire installation, they would have to be run external. Maybe you could zip tie them, I don't like exposed wires due to the fact they could accidently get hung on something and pulled out. Just a few things to think about.
