Need some help...R* Oil Change

I have some time today and want to change out the oil and final drive oil too.

I believe I need to run the bike a bit, then let her cool a few minutes, then drain the rear and front drain plug.

After that replace the filter, and re-install the drain plugs.

I then add 4.3 quarts????

Do I add the new oil in the dip stick port or????

Thanks

mk

There's 2 oil drain plugs, but ther'es also 2 fill spots. The official procedure is to add 2qt to the dip stick port, run for 15 seconds, then add the rest. However there is a second fill spot behind the rear jug. You can add all 4 quarts there and won't need to start/stop the engine.

So I was in this strip club once . . . . wait, I already used that line

I believe the JUGS are the cylinders - the two big upper portions of the engine that are covered with cooling fins (pistons are inside each). So the rear JUG would be the rear cylinder - practically under your seat.

I don't have a Roadstar so can't shoot you a pic of a fill port, or even confirm the existence.

Good luck though!

You'll find more "how to" info on the Road Star Clinic forum than you could possibly need!

M, yeah I knew I was just wondering which one would hit the softball out of the park first. My bet would have been Bevo...

Thanks for the help
