Road Star risers

I'd like to put risers on my Road Star, but I definetly do not want to go through the trpouble and expense of getting new cables. I simply want to increase the height and bring my bars back a bit with the intent of increasing my rider comfort on long distance rides (I tend to slouch a little). There are lots of them on the market and I'm looking for anyone who has experience and would like to make a recommendation.

I just put a set of barons risers (4 inch rise and 1 1/2 pullback) on my 06 road star silverado. i only had to remove the cable holder under the top triple tree. you have to remove the bolts anyway to remove the stock risers. i have no binding issues. mind you the cables are tight in full lock side to side but no binding. also the following web sight has risers that have the same rise and pullback. i have the same problem with slouching forward. loads of back pain after about 3 hours of riding before the new risers. no issues now.
good luck

I have Barron's beach bars on my RS. 36" inches wide and 12 3/4" pull back. I added a bat wing fairing and the risers where close to the marine cover door for my radio. So I bought a set of Royal Star risers. They where cheap on ebay and they give you about an 1" more pull back. They have to come off a 1999 and up to fit RS. I am thinking you may want more than that for stock RS bars.
Good Luck, Andy
