Adjusting loose play in throttle grip

I have Kuryakan ISO grips on a 2009 Silverado 1700 and the throttle grip has too much play in it before it activates-maybe 1/4" or so. It should have a hair of play but not this much. I haven't taken off the switch cover but I have loosened the one nut on the cable and tried to adjust it there but that didn't do anything.

Is this an easy fix? Thanks.

The base under the rotating grip can be rotated down on the handlebar, that'll remove the play. It's easy if you were able to install the grips to begin with. Basically it can rotate and come back to the stopper, rotating it down will tighten the lines.
