Question Road Star Handlebar Measurements

I posted this question in the New Members section & figured I should post it in this section: Ok, I'm a NewBee to this site & just learning.

I ride an 05 Road Star & am wanting to replace my bars with some that have more pullback & I sat on a 2014 model at a recent Bike Show in Dallas & noticed a big difference in the handlebars on that bike compared to mine, but I had no way to measure them at that time.

Is there anybody out there who knows the measurements of Road Star Stock Handlebars, or would measure their stock handlebars for me? I need a fairly accurate measurement of some Road Star Silverado Handlebars. There are at least 3 different sizes & part #’s for Road Star handlebars. I am looking for the measurements (Height, Width & especially Pullback), specifically for Part # 5VP-26111-10-00 Handlebars, which are used on the 2008 – 2014 Silverados. I cannot find this information any place on the net & none of the Yamaha dealers within a 50 mile radius of my home have any Road Stars within this date range on their showroom floors so I can’t go to them & take a measurement. (The site below is sideroadcycles & accurately shows how to measure handlebars & has many bikes & measurements listed, but not the information I need & their information on Road Star bars is not accurate)

Thanx Much

Did you ever find your answer? I"m new and just seeing this.

I don't know if I can get measurements on the stock bar, but I recently put the Baron Nostalgia bar on mine, replacing stock. It is about 3" wider and has more pullback so I sit more upright / comfortable than stock bar which made me lean slightly forward. Greatest $90 I ever spent. Mine's a Road Star 1700...not sure how different that would be on Silverado.

A lot of people rave about the Royal Star bars and have changed them out - they are closer together and pull back toward you more. I am still contemplating that after putting risers on. The risers helped a ton, but at the end of the day, I still want the bars in more. Now if only Santa would come twice a year!

The info in that site is 50/50 at best. I bought used and even bought from the guy who maintains that site. I wasn't very successful using the info on the site.
