Rear suspension bottoming out

My 05 roadie bottoms out on hard bumps when I'm solo. With my GF on the back its just unbearable. I have the spring adjusted to the hard setting and it just doesn't cut it. I cant be the only one having this issue and I'm looking to see how others have dealt with the problem. I can't believe this was the best Yamaha could provide for
a rear suspension.

This is the option I went went with- http://www.baronscustom.com/catalog/...570/index.html

There are a few other options. Someone over at roadstarclinic.com makes a modified Goldwing shock that many love. I have a buddy that has a progressive shock 465 and swears by it.

Thanks for the reply. I joined the road star clinic and have been reading on the Goldwing shock conversion and it sounds like the cheapest fix. I've located a shock with pump for less than $200 so I'm going to try that route.

very cool as they're getting harder to find. Most have been very happy with the swap and it should solve the problem. Good luck.
