Thumbs down High value (not price) tires

Recently sold my 02 V-Star 1100 Classic and purchased an 05 Roadstar Midnight Silverado and I am a happy man! Love the power, handling, and the sound, even through stock exhaust. The exhaust note will change shortly, but my immediate attention is getting rid of the Dunlops connected to the ground. Three times I've had sliding issues on dry road! I had Kenda 671's on the V-Stan and loved them, but at about 6k - 7k miles, I was seeing more wear than I liked. I ride year around, down to about 25 degrees, though not a fan of cold AND WET! LOL I'm looking for a good high mileage tire that still offers above average traction and braking. My limited experience with Avon and Metzler is great performance, short life. I'm reading about Michlins and Bridgestone. Who makes an all around 12-15 k mile tire that'll keep me safe?

A wise man once said, "When ya gotta go , ya better go, cause when ya get there ya may find ya done been!" That can't be good.

The dark side.

Or metzler. I just swapped out to white walls, old and new both metzlers. Old have a few thousand left on them and I put them through about 10k. I'd put another 2-3k on them.

And yes, the R* is a totally different machine. The power is way different, but so is the weight and the length.
