fuel guage

I recently bought a 2007 Roadstar and this is the first time I have had to put gas in it. The gas gauge never moved when I started it back up after filling it up. When I got home about 2 miles the needle moved to a 3/4 full. is there something wrong or is it just take a while for the needle to move all the way to the full mark.

My 99 Roadie is the same way. Seems like it goes down faster than it comes up...lol

Mine too . If I fill it up to the top it doesn't come up to full. Till I've ridden about 10 miles or so.

it's a quirk - i've owned my 02 roadstar for 8 years, it's something you get used to and don't worry; they all do it. you know it's full, you'll get around 140-150 before the light comes on another 20 or so before you go to reserve.

I have a 2009 roadie, I have the same issue but only once in a great while. I think that it is the nature of the beast.
