Hi all,got a quick question for the jetting experts.
I have a Hypercharger and Cobra speedster longshots on my bike and it has been professionally jetting by a shop so I don't know what's in it right now.The bike runs fantastic,no issues. My question is if I remove the hypercharger and go back to the stock dog dish what jets would I need for the exhaust only.My elevation is at 252 m (827 Ft) and the temps I ride in are between 59-95 (15-35 cel)
A quick question. Why do you want to go back to the dog dish? My take on your question would be to leave the HC on but go with a pods setup instead. This way you keep the cool looking HC but you have the full benefits of the pods.
I would then just replace the HC with the dogdish and see if the bike acts up. The reason I say this is that you still have the airbox installed. Your air passage is still restricted to the carbs so I don't think it would really make a difference.
Put a 115 in the front and a 112.5 in the rear.....actually if it was mine I'd just put in 2 115's....Mikuni jets of course...you can pick them up at your nearest Harley dealer.
Stock pilots are 17.5.....were they changed with the HC? Usually they aren't. Stock needles either in the only groove there is or in the center one. No shims. Adjust the PMS after you run it....but probably 2 1/2 will get you close with aftermarket exhaust.
Thanks again Mick!
I honestly dont know what's in there right now, bought the bike off someone I know who had it jetted by a shop.
