Lost my muffler

I had the unfortunate experience of having my top muffler fall off on the way home yesterday. I recovered it but not before it got hit by a car. What a bummer.

Sorry to hear that. You might find a used one for a decent price. A lot of people swap out for aftermarket pipes.

I have heard of lost mufflers on cars. Hell, I've lost a few myself. Never on bike though.

jms, your lost muffler has messed up my mind.

When I started up my 650 this morning and was checking my lights I noticed the grass under my muffler was moving with the exhaust note.

All the way to work I was thinking "damn, my muffler has rusted thru!"

when I parked the bike at work I looked under the lower muffler: Two drain holes!

Yeah! Drain holes!

Life is goo.

I hope you find a stock muffler for a decent price. I've looked for them to replace obnoxiously loud aftermarket systems but even used OEMs tend to command a high price unless you get lucky.

I bought a set on ebay for $124. Apparently they are made of gold?
