What to do...what to do

I have a Vstar 1300. I also have hardbags with led lighting for both tail and brake lights. My question is where should I tap into the wiring harness and where should I run the wire out to each bag?

Your help will be greatly appreciated

On my 1100 there was a connection under the seat for rear lighting. I tapped into the wires just past the connection when I did my rear additional light. I choose that spot are it's well protected from weather. I did not cut the original wires. Trimmed some insulation off, twisted new wire on, soldered and shrink wrap. That was about 3 years ago, no issues or concerns. Not the best video but hopefully you get the idea.
