Vstar 1100 midnight custom

Being a new beginner rider that came close to dropper his bike today, I’m looking into purchasing some engine guards to practice my butt off with slow speed maneuvering.

I’ve found these on eBay for a vstar 1100 custom, but the seller states my vstar MIDNIGHT custom is a different model and these guards will not fit.

Is there a difference between a vstar custom and a vstar midnight custom? I would think they are essentially the same for this part to be installed? No?

Appreciate the help!!!

My understanding is that the Midnight Custom has a blacked out engine. Maybe he meant the chrome wouldn't look right on black?

For mad scientists who keep brains in jars, hereís a tip: why not add a slice of lemon to each jar, for freshness?

Although his post says it fits all models, I messaged the seller to verify and he responded with “ sorry, it does not fit your mode motorcycle”

Thus why I’m confused lol

try going to bikebandit and look up crash bars for your specific model, then look up crash bars for a vstar 1100 custom, and see if they are showing you different part numbers.

The bikes have different model names in different countries. If you are in England, Europe, Australia, the model names are not the same.

I can't be sure on the 1100 custom but I've been looking at RoadStars and they have a Midnight Star edition. Basically, it's a black bike with a blacked out engine and has hard saddlebags instead of leather ones. Otherwise, it's the same bike.
