Will a seat from a 2000 vstar 1100 custom fit on a 2007 vstar 1100 custom?

I found a great deal on a drivers seat. Will it work?

Mustang seats lists one part number from 1999 - 2011. So it appears it will.

I think it depends on the seat brand. I think mustang comes with some different mounting hardware. Where as Ultimate uses the OEM brackets.

Thanks for the responses guys. I just ordered the factory seat from Ebay. Looking at a 2007 and a 2000 seat picture side by side, looks identical. Crossing fingers i dont run into any fitment issues. Thanks!!!

It should fit fine. I have to wonder though, after 2 years of sitting on that slab of concrete on my 1100 if I had to get a new one I would definitely upgrade to a more comfortable one.
