Mutazu saddlebags

Yamaha V-star XVA65a Classic

Well the roads are still partially snow covered so I cleaned off the patio and installed a set of HL Mutazu saddlebags - while not the quality of the HD bags they only cost about $300.00 including hardware and I can stick a summer helmet inside - lock it and forget it.

The mounting was really easy - a single person job - used a digital level and mounted so the front edge is about 1 high so water drains out if they leak.

Two steel 3/16" x 1-1/4" steel bars hand down from the fender attack points and are swiveled to match the bags - you can use either two or four bolts to attach the bags to the hangars - I opted for 4 - just used a multibit to open the holes to the required size to install rubber grommets and added a 1'8" x 1-1/4" aluminum strip to match the outside hangar - really stiffens the bag wall.

lesblank, KCW, Yamaha Pat and 1 others like this.
