Anyone out there have a golf club carrier for their 950?

Parts guy at my local Yamaha shop has never owned a vehicle other than a motorcycle (he's 30 and has never owned a car/truck/suv). I asked him this very question. His suggestion was to lay the clubs over the passenger pillion and secure them with Rok Straps (part bungee, part ratchet strap). He transported a small welder on his SV650 that way, so I don't see why it wouldn't work for golf sticks. I plan to try it out this year, I'll post a pic when I do.
