Handlebar adjustments

I once emailed the Yamaha tech site and asked about changing the vertical hand grip on the handlebars either up or down a few degrees or so to raise or lower your wrists when riding - the answer was an emphatic do not change - the bars are aligned by indexing marks and should stay where they are set.

Does this make sense??? Is it possible to rotate the handlebars just a few degrees up or down for rider comfort????

I raised mine a good 2 inches 2 years ago. Never had any issues with them except my back feels a lot better and I can sit in the saddle for a longer period of time. I call BS on this one.

you can rotate the handlebars anywhere you want

the technician must have thought you were talking about raising up the handlebar attachment into the triple tree - you DONT want to pull that up higher, it must be fully inserted as designed.
