Let me buy you a c[_] - I'm a bad mechanic

I own a 2013 Yamaha custom V Star 650
Buy it new from Yamaha dealer, the reason why I buy it new was because I'm not a handy person, little mechanic experience, so my logic was getting new so you don't have issues and it worked fine until two days ago.

Mileage:8214
New Battery, replaced in June
All services done regularly on Yamaha dealer
Gas thank is full

Problem: Won't start, the switch tries to start the bike I can listen the bike try to start.
Sound: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n9c8a43e7v...start.mp3?dl=0

i don't have a way to take the bike to a mechanic so I would take this challenge and find out wars wrong and do my best to learn and fix it my self but would love some help on troubleshooting this.

Thanks in advance for all pointer and tips.

As stupid as it sounds is the kill switch turned off?

Fuel petcock turned on?

There are a lot of nice people here that are more than willing to help out with great ideas.

I ain't lost until the tank is empty!

Hi! yes, that one i got it checked.

Hi, yes sir, try booth ways, up and down. Maybe not enough was getting to the carburetor, garbage in the tank?

I make a list, steps to follow to make sure I was not missing what you just suggested, neutral, clutch, stand up. Thanks

take the hose off the petcock and drain about 300mL into a glass bottle, see what your fuel looks like

maybe you have water in your gas, or maybe you have a tank full of diesel fuel (smell it).

If the gas does not look like a clear even liquid then drain your tank, refill with fresh fuel, and use a fuel additive like Seafoam to clear out any water in the carbs and fuel lines.

BTW where are you? I get the impression you are not in the USA, your english is very good.

EDITED: drain the fuel into a glass bottle, so you can see it... I think faster than I can type

Try removing the seat and look at the in-line fuel filter. Make sure it's not gunked up.

Will it push start? If so, starter. The sound file you sent sounds like itís not getting gas though.

All the things that the buddies said are very useful. Make sure to test all the proposed solutions.
If the carbs are clean and sync, the fuel line is ok, the fuel filter is not clogged, the sidestand is off, the clutch lever is pulled on, I would take a look at the pickup coil resistence. If I remember, needs to be at 182 to 222 ohm.
