09 V Star 950 front end noise and odd brake behaviour

So I'm put riding right now going down the highway at 55, earlier I heard some noise from the front calipers. Looked the lm, nothing seemed out of the ordinary, thought it was probably a rock. Now I am over 20 miles away from home and now the front end is randomly slightly diving at different intensities like the front brakes are being applied, still nothing obvious looking. I'm afraid that maybe this is a caliper sneezing or something and will eventually pole vault me off the bike at highway speeds. Has anyone heard of this happening?

Brake fluid will absorb moisture and create rust between the piston and caliper housing not allowing free movement of the piston. It's pretty common on brakes that have been overheated or not used much. Calipers can be rebuilt by honing out the housing, replace piston and seals. Most shops now days just replace the caliper as it's more time efficient making it cheaper. With duel calipers up front it's probably only one that is sticking. If you have a temperature gun, go for a short ride, whichever caliper that's sticking will make the rotor much hotter than the other one. Hope that the simplified explanation made sense.
