Rear R/H tail light stays on.

I recently bought a 2002 1100 V-Star. It has 27,00 miles on it. I'm having a problem with my rear r/h turn signal. Its staying on like a running light, but the l/h light isn't. i don't know if both lights should be on when it on or should they be off. this is my first road bike, so i'm learning as i go. both blinkers work fine, but like i said. the r/h one stays on. I don't care to draw unwanted attention, (if ya know what I mean). Thanks for any advice.

On mine the front ones are on full time and the back ones are out except when flashing for turn signals. Just a total guess here but you might check your ground wires, and wiring in general, a bad ground can cause wierd things to go on. Good luck with it.

Thanks for the insight. I get it back tommorrow, from the shop. If they don't notice it and fix it first, I'll check out the grounds and see if that helps. give me a couple days and i'll let ya know how it works out.
