Trailer question

I've got the '09 tourer. Absolutely love it as well. I wanted to ask you about your trailer. What are the demensions, and how did you secure the bike to it? Was there alot of bounce? I am asking because we are considering purchasing a small trailer like the one you show in the pic, but I was worrried about the bike moving around and getting scraped up, or the gate not lifting all the way. Would appreciate some details...lou. Mobile, AL.

I just sold a GSXR600 and the guy showed up at my house with a trailer that had one of those roll in wheel cradles, then he just strapped from the the triple tree area around the bottom of the trailer with those racheting straps and tied the back end to the rails (centered of course).

Hi, thanks guys.
The trailer is a 5'x8' I use it for my lawn cutting biz.
But I got it at Tractor Supply brand new for $600 something.
it came with a steel mesh floor only, but I put 1"x6"x8' pressure
treated right over the mesh for about $70.00 from Homedepot.
The bike fits perfect on it with about 4 inches to spare near
the gate. I keep it centered straight up, straight forward.
I only used 2 rachet straps, wraped and hooked around the
handlebars, and then hooked to the angle iron that is welded
to the side of the trailer near the front. Rachet down tight,
but don't bottom out the forks. Bike don't move at all.
Of coures ya gotta use common sence and don't go
flyin' over big bumps and stuff. And leave the kickstand
down just in case. I've done it twice like this now and
never had any problem. No rubbing, no scratches, no nothin'.
Hope that answers your question. Good luck!

I figured it was a 4' or 5' x 8. You're a braver man than I! I would have to stop every 20 miles to check on the rear clearance. I'm planning on trailering from Mobile to Daytona, so that would be a lot of stops...thanks for the feedback.

I just bought a 2009 950 Tourer. It is my first bike. I already like it a lot! Even as a new rider I find that it is very easy to ride.

I just got my 09 950T this past weekend. I'm a very new rider as well and I am so happy with it. I took it out this evening after watching the Penguins loose to the Canadiens. I felt so much better. Looking forward to many miles on that bike. Cheers!!

I have just under 4k on my 950 that I bought in November. I love the F.I. The only things that I don't like is that my knees have rubbed the paint on the sides of the fuel tank, and the speedo is about 10% off. I would get another one.
