Vista Cruise is awesome!

I installed the Vista Cruise Control last night and rode around today with it for about 6 hours. It is by far the best $35 mod that you can do if you ever want to take a trip anywhere or ride for 50 miles or more. It's awesome, and my buddy was jealous that i could remove my throttle hand to rest it. I actually found myself using it just because i can. Only negative is that the road that we were on was curvey and hilly, so i would have to adjust it periodically in order to hold a steady speed. other than that, it worked fanastically!

It installs on the thumb/index finger end of the grip as opposed to the throttle rocker on the heal end of the palm, so they don't interfere at all. And yes, it fits the 1" bar and has three different sizes for grips, so from what I understand it does fit the Kuryakyn ISO grips. I currently have the stock grips, but when I put the tbars on I will be putting the ISO grips on (along with ISO switchblade pegs and shifter cover, maybe highway pegs too...can't decide). As for operation of the very simple system, you roll back on the shifter, and then press down on the thumb tab to hold the grip in place. To release the grip, you just put your thumb under the tab and flip it up. While in the "locked" position, you can still manually turn the grip if needed for more or less throttle.

Do you think it would fit over heated grips? I keep my heated grips on all year...sometimes when I ride in the evenings and I am in the mountains I get chilled or if I get a cramp in my hands...I use the heat to help stay warm or take away the cramp...

but def would like to get the Vista Cruise control!

I had a vista cruise thing on my old bike and although it worked quite well i had problems turning it off due to injuries to my right hand.

On this bike i did one better. Got a "BreakAway motorcycle cruise controle" It was quite a bit more expensive than the vista but it looks and works so much nicer too. And as a added bonus in emergency stoping situations it is dissengaged when you apply the front brakes.

I got mine form my local dealer for $180cdn couple years back and hands down it is the BEST mod i have done for comfort. Without it my right hand is in agony on longer trips and thanks to the past injuries can get bad enuff to swell to the point i cant make a fist or hold a pen lol.
