Portable Tachometer

I'm looking to get a tach, basically just to set my idle when tuning the carb. What's a good tachometer? So far I've found this but I'm wondering what others think.

I've used a "Tiny Tach" to do mine before I got the Pro-One tach. I got mine on Ebay for $22 Its got an internal battery. You just wrap the lead around the spark plug wire and its ready to go. But at just $35 and its just a clamp on that sounds like a good deal.

Tach

Looks good to me. Let me know how it works, I'm thinking of getting one but the prices I've seen have been around a couple of hundred bucks.

The 650 V Star has a waste spark.
A clamp-on tach will display twice the actual RPM.

That would be kinda cool to watch though.

I use one of these just about every day at work. quick and easy and good for all ignitions. It will let you know when it is time to change plugs, wires, coils.

Gary, I thought that was funny on Amazon. Buy a new one from $108 or a used one for $150. At $108 it sounds like a good buy.
