Carburetor Question

I started the bike up yesterday after a long time sitting and fuel seems to be pouring out of the vent labeled in the picture. any idea what might be causing it.

Probably your float valve is stuck. try tapping on float bowl. Also disconnecting line to that carb and using a small funnel or squeeze bottle put some Sea Foam or Berryman B-12 carb cleaner through it. Let stand for an hr or so. If not successful disassembly of carbs is necessary. Dump gas and refill tank. Add some of the same cleaner to the tank of fresh gas. Add "Stabil" to your gas when you know you are gonna park it for an extended period. Run bike to make sure stabil has gotten through entire fuel system, 25 miles or so.

If you've already got them out just remove the float bowls and give the jets a thorough cleaning too. The idle jets plug easily too when left to sit.

One word of caution. The bowl screws strip easily and I don't think they are actually phillips head, a variation of. Use screwdriver from tool kit. Also most replace with stainless internal hex head m4 x .7 x 10mm. I got mine at Ace Hardware, great source for chrome hardware too.
