Exhaust Issue

My wife complains about the smell of exhaust while we're riding. It seems to happen at any speeds, but more often when going 40 mph or less. I don't smell anything myself. I have the stock pipes on my '05 V-Star 1100 Custom. Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so, what's the solution?

It may be blow-by oil. Check to see that oil has not accumulated behind the breather and on the carb's and inter most parts where it is dark and hard to see This oil can drip on hot jugs This may be what she smells ? Or don't eat beans before a ride

maybe everything is normal and she's just sensative to any motorcycle smells. i mean, she is just a couple feet away from the exhaust.

I had the same problem with my 09 1100 classic with V&H Classic II slip-ons. Wife told me to fix the problem or she was done riding with me. Sure do miss her.
