V Star 1300 Deluxe Audio System

New to the site and the bike...did a lot of searching on here and Google but haven't found what I needed.

Does anyone have the full system details on the subject item. Looking to upgrade the speaker and amp.

I found the OEM website with the part list and diagram, but still not enough info.

If there is someone on here that has actually done an upgrade on their Deluxe that would be great. thanks!

Looking to upgrade, just go buy what you want...

ebay- mini amp they make like 1000 watt 4 channel ones, but they are pricey.

4 speakers at 200 watt rms 300 watt peak power, the stock head unit will work unless you want something high speed low drag.

reviving this thread rather than starting a new one. I'd like some more info on the speakers as well.

Is the factory amp part of the controls or is it just the amp?
I have an MTX MUD amp and Kicker PS speakers from a previous bike.

Do yourself a favor and just get a nice Bluetooth headset with good sound quality. You'll get full sound for your music, without blasting the neighborhood, with the speakers so loud, just to hear it above the road and engine noise. Plus you'll also get a way to talk with passengers and answer your phone. The Garmin on the deluxe may tell you when you receive a call and let you answer it, but without a headset,it will be a one way conversation.
Yamaha Pat likes this.
