Largest rear tire size?

I don't see how I can fit anything bigger than stock on my 08' Custom 1100

I'd like to go slightly bigger (190) but it looks like it might rub on the sides.

Anyone run wider than stock on rear?

Try searching the forum. I know I've seen this asked before. I think you can go up to 200 but I haven't tried it. Happy searching!

I did scan around on Vstar section.. not much info for those who upgraded to a larger width.

Eyeballing it, i give it less than a 1/4" on each side of my stock tire size (170) to the frame.

I cant see fitting fitting a 190 tire in there (as 20mm more would be approx. 3/4" more overall tire width) 180 seems to be pushing it before rubbing (assuming tire is fully inflated all the time)

I can score a used 190 for cheap locally, I may try to slap it on and see.

A 200 will fit in the swingarm but may not work with a stock fender.

There was a 200 on mine when I bought it it was shot so I replaced it with the stock tire that was a few $$ cheaper that and they didn't have white walls in a 200...

You have to remember that the width of a 200 will be affected by the small width of the wheel and cause it to be taller and not that much wider. I have seen a thread in the past month about putting on a 200 rear tire, I even commented on it if I'm not mistaken lol
