Help - Saddlemen Highwayman Tattoo bags on a VStar 950

Hi Guys

I need some assistance please.

Had anyone fitted Saddlemen Highwayman Tattoo saddlebags to a VStar 950 (2009) yet. I am looking to buy these bags on Ebay and have them shipped to South Africa but I am 1500 miles from my bike and can't make the necessary measurements.

These are the bags I'm looking at

http://www.ebay.com/itm/231186391627...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

These are the quick release mountings

http://www.ebay.com/itm/181377216465...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

These bags come in three sizes, medium, large and jumbo and I would like to get the biggest ones that will fit.

So my question is:

Will this model of bag and fitting work with the Vstar 950.

Any advice please?

those bags will definitely not be too tall at 12". don't know about the mounting brackets, but the info says they fit all 950 models. so i would assume those are good as well.

Hi Bevo1981

Thanks for the advice

I have drawn the two bag sizes in scale in on a photograph and the Large seems to flow better with the bike than the Jumbo.

What do you think?

to me, i don't care about looks when it comes to soft bags. i care about how much you can fit in them. going on any road trip for more than a couple days, i want to be sure i can cram as much stuff in them as possible. i would go with the larger bags.
