V-Star 950 clutch cable replacement HELP

I put on my new risers and started the process of replacing cables with +3's. Did all my prep work. tank, covers, everything's off. Loosened the clutch cable ends. Released it from the cutch lever. Pulled it through. HOW THE HECK do you remove the old cable from the bottom section? I have 2 manuals and they both are no help. Thank you in advance

With the cable loose up top, push the inner part in towards clutch. Down on the back of clutch, where cable attaches to swivel, there is a little metal tab that you will have to move/bend out of way and the inner cable can be removed from slot in swivel. Unscrew the adjuster by clutch and cable should pull up and out of adjuster bracket. It took longer to type this than it will take you to do it!!

that's it? With my "old" eyes, it appeared to be a solid unit encasing the lower tab. Ok, now for a good flashlight (and a new pair of eyeglasses. Thank you very much !!!

I had to use a flashlight too!! Look close and you will see the little tab...at least that is what is on my wife's 2011 950.
