goodbye chrome.

Going back and blue. Just like a bruise,as the wife would say.

Limited funds so going with a rattle can. Backyard style.

Hope to have it back together by the weekend.

Be sure and post a pic of it afterwards! Been thinking about doing the same to mine but I'm too scared to go painting all those shiny pieces and chance it not looking as good as I hope.

What about the fork covers? Not chrome but still shiny, no?

I am using plastidip in case I don't like it.

The forks and exhaust are the two things I haven't painted, because, well I just not that good.

See how it turns out.

I feel defeated. Plasti dip didn't work so well. The helmet coil cover is peeling from my jeans already and same for the air cover.

The levers are peeled. I like the look so now to get it all painted and powder coated.

Sorry about sideways pictures apparently technology is too tough for me too.

However the new/used to me HK sideburner exhaust is great.

Thats what I plan to do but how many coats did you use? Should've been about 4-5. We gotta shop here in town that specializes in plastidip and I may have them do it... $100. I think The levers will need to be bought in order to assure a good look and quality finish. Not too sure about the headlight....might do the entire thing black.
