GPS and 950

My buddy is letting me use his Garmin GPS, I'll most likely buy it off of him. My question is, I want to hardwire it to the headlight, tail light, something so that the GPS only comes on when the bike is on. I looked through the manual to figure out which wire would work, but having issues locating them. Are they hard to find and locate or am I having a blonde moment.

I wired mine to the Battery Tender jr. Used the spare wires and connectors that came with the kit and made a connection that just plugs in to get the power. I only plug it in when the GPS is on the bike. Be careful that you don't tie it directly to a 12 volt power source or you'll blow the GPS. Mine came with a device inline to reduce the power from 12 volts to 5 volts. It's super easy to run the wires under the tank to conceal them.
