Vstar 650 build

Hey,
A few years ago i bought a project vstar 650 for 1000 dollars. Im finally getting around to building it now. I put everything together and figured i might as well go all out so i tore the bike back apart this spring.
The frame is getting chopped in mass. right now, going for curved duel downtubes and single curved backbone. Basically a nice prostreet build. Already made the exhaust, but might change them once the frame shows up so they curve up. Single carb setup using cv40. Alot of other stuff i still need to figure out, just patiently waiting for the frame.

Bones did you make that tank or buy it? Would it fit a bike with out the modified frame?

Ahh I checked around a bit and I see the problem now. It looks like the VStar has a "double back bone" which would limit the options on tanks. Anyway your bike is really looking good.k

A little bit of an update. Single carb on and headlight. I got distracted by starting to build a garage in my backyard so not much progress, hopefully this winter there will be.

Going to build my own handlebars for the first time, so I mocked up a set. The flat 16 gauge steel will be at least 3/8" thick and cnc cut to a curve to match the curves of the backbone and downtubes. Wanted something a little different but also with a comfortable reach.
