Front brake popping noise

I have just noticed that(started yesterday) that when applying front brakes just about the time bike get slowed to a near stop...I get a small pop or clunk sound coming from the front wheel. only happens when front brakes are used. I can bounce the front end up and down no noise, stop with rear brake no noise. Just front brake. everything looks good and tight. I cant tell how pads are(worn) but all bolts are tight.
Ant ideas?

William, you should be able to tell how worn your pads are by looking at the rear of the caliper. There you'll see the pads on either side of the disk. If you still can't see the wear, you can always take the caliper off and check the pads out that way. When I bought my bike the pads were worn out and I did have a "clunk" when I stopped using the front only. Worth a look eh.
