Oil level?

Checked my oil tonight…with the bike straight up, not on kickstand.

The sight glass shows what appears to be a full, possibly overfilled crankcase. The oil completely darkens the sight glass, with no empty space above the "max" mark. I did check the air box, and there is no oil in it, which means that while it may be overfilled, it's not way overfull.

Is this a concern? Or can I just ride it the rest of the season (probably another 1,000 miles) and take care of it at the end of the year oil change?

The oil level should be in between the two marks but if there's no oil in the airbox, just ride and don't worry about it. You may have to clean out the airbox at the end of the season but that's a minor point.

Checking the OIL

To check the oil 1.)Set it up level, 2.)Start the engine and run for a few minutes, 3.)Shut it of and after a few minutes- check it than.

If you have no leaks, don't burn oil, and put in 3 and a quarter to 1/2 oil in, you have no worries, ride and have fun
