New VStar owner...have a couple questions
Hello all, I have a few mechanical question for my 2007 VStar 1100 Custom w/ 13600 miles.
-In low range RPM's, (especially while turning) there is a slight "burp" in the exhaust, almost as if it's not getting gas. Instead of a steady, consistent throttle response, it will be smooth, have a small burp, be smooth, small burp....etc. The throttle will be in the same position the whole time throughout the turn as well. (this happens even when the bike has plenty of gas in it)
-My rear brake sticks a small amount, especially if it is pressed hard. I've noticed there is a recoil spring, does this wear out over time and could that be causing the brake pedal to not "pop" back to it's original position, thus releasing the tension on the rear brake disc?
-Last question, (non-mechanical) but I am trying to download an owners manual, and there are many submodels of the Vstar (C(T), S, R) and I'm unsure which one I have. My title says "XVS110"...it is a 1100 Custom, but I'm confused about this. Can someone chime in with a VIN tip to figure this out?
Thank you for your help guys, it is much appreciated!
