Tail lights and light bars

Hey all, just joined the forum yesterday and am looking to make some improvements to the bike. 2000, vstar 650. I'm wanting to replace the whole rear light setup. I also want to get a low profile light bar in the front, as my bike didn't come with front indicators.

I was eyeing some kuryakyn bars, but they're kinda pricey for my budget. Any ideas on some mid range bars that are relatively plug and play?

Also, I'd like a new rear light setup (tail and indicators). I'm not very electrically inclined, so something that can basically be swapped out for the OEM would be great.

I was hoping for everything to be led. If I do, do I need to change anything other than the relay?

Thanks for any help in advance!

I've got an '03 custom.

I can't help you with a front plug and play bar. I put chromed lenses on the original signals and mounted a set of chrome "burners" (bullets) @ $18.95 (Walmart) on the stems. I switched the 50w mr16 halogens for a pair of 9-led mr16 bulbs. I had to make thinner washers out of rubber automotive tubing to get the bulbs to fit snugly. I also put a pair of extremely bright mini eagle eye LEDs on the fork/fender brackets. Works great and looks good.

The rear?

The whole she-bang as it sits so far in those pictures including the strobes, the three 2" rounds, and the running/brake light that will replace the rectangular reflector just below the main tail light cost me a total of $37.46 with bezels, hardware and all. Not including the the chromed signal lenses. I simply drilled out the stock reflector mounts, mounted the signals to them and everything else followed that natural course.
Look at as many pictures as you possibly can and most importantly, use your imagination.

That's definitely some lighting you got there, lol. I was thinking more along the lines of an all in one unit with indicators. Hopefully one that will cover all the holes. I've seen an led one that has it all packed inside the lens, don't like that one too much. It looks like it would be difficult for someone to see which way you're indicating.

Even a tail light with the brackets to attach indicators, because I have a pair I wouldn't mind using.

I did end up finding a used light bar on ebay: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e11401...e=exe,ext=ext)
