Baron's Big air Kit for $136 postage paid on amazon.com

Whenever I go to Amazon.com now it shows me V Star 650 stuff. In the past week I've seem two incredible liquidation deals.

The first was Chubbies Wild 1 Double T Drag bars for $79 postage paid. The exact model I planned to buy sometime this winter. They typically go for around $200.

Then yesterday I saw Baron's Big Air kits for the V Star 650. This is the plain cover one, but they still go for $275 and up around the net.

A seller is liquidating them for $136 postage paid. I bought one. They got 12 more left. According to Baron's website, it comes with a rejet kit as well. You really can't go wrong at that price.

According to the PDF for this item it even includes one half of a replacement screw kit. It provides 8 socket crews for the float bowls. (I already replacement all 16 when I rejetted before.) If you want to replace all sixteen you will need eight more stainless steel socket screws from the hardware store. This guy sells all 16 socket screws and a matching socket driver for $16 postage paid.

Not a bad price .... but there is not much of a performance gain with those things. The GAK seems to be the best bang for the performance buck on a 650 intake.....and still quite a bit less $$.

at this price I couldn't resist. Especially when I pulled up the pdf for the instructions and found it includes a whole re-jet kit. Between this and the new handlebars I got cheap, I'll have a lot of stuff to play with when it gets too cold to ride.

Does GAK mean, two filters directly connected the carburators? What appeals to me most about that set-up is the fact that you get rid of the black airbox joints that blocks the PMS screws on the V Star 650.

I just got an e-mail saying they cancelled by order for the Baron's Big Air Kit because "the price was set wrong."

So nevermind.

That's the bad thing about online shopping. If it was in store they have to sell it at the advertised price even if incorrect. But like Nick said...Bummer. But at least you got your bars.
