Back to stock exhaust, need to rejet??

Hi All,

I am a BRAND NEW member and rider. Thinking about getting a vstar 650 as a first bike and have test-ridden one.

One of the bikes I am considering buying appears to be in terrific shape and is a vstar 650 custom. However the bike has a Baron's Big Air intake (indifferent but a little more power is fine) and Bub's Big Willy pipes (I am not crazy about noise, and might want to take itoff).

The bike comes with stock exhaust.

I am fairly certain the bike was tuned for the big air intake and pipes when purchased. If I take off Bub's big willy pipes, and put back on the stock exhaust, will it require carb work?

Thanks!

I did the same thing when I bought my 05 classic with a hypercharger and hard krome exhaust. I tired of having to wear earplugs and had original exhaust reinstalled. The dealer had to rejet carbs to match everything up. Works fine.
