Ape Hanger Electrical Extension

So I'm throwing 12"s on my '12 950 this week; have everything ready but the electrical wiring. This may be a silly question, but I want to be 110% sure; can I use ANY electrical wiring? There's a crap ton of HD electrical extensions up on Amazon and I have an Amazon gift card I'd rather use, but of course all fitment listed is HD. Just need to know if that'll work or if I need to go with something that has to match compatibility exactly. Thanks guys.

You can give it a try, but every bike is wired differently and none of the plugs will work. Most of us just spent a few hours with a solder gun and some shrink tubing.
