'06 V-Star with hole on the exhaust pipe?

I've had this motorcycle for months but I just noticed that there is a hole on the bottom of the exhaust pipe that is threaded so something could be screwed in but maybe the screw is missing? The hole is on the bottom of the bottom pipe and is before the slip-ons. http://i.imgur.com/1AYfXgF.jpg

It's on the pipe but it is under the heat shield so yeah that might be it. I'm gonna look tomorrow whenever there's light and just make sure.

I have a bolt in mine. Looked up in the parts catalogue and it only shows the assy and no bolt or other component that could go there.

Isn't that where you screw in the gas valve for the flaming exhaust?

Just plug it with a sheet metal screw or screw of same size and pitch
threads. It's going to be metric for sure.

Most likely an 8 or 10mm 1.25 or 1.5 pitch
