Clutch cable ??

I have near 50Kon my 06 xvs65v 650 custom.
Has anyone had a clutch cable issue?
I am leaning toward thinking my cable is getting stretched a bit.
When starting in gear , the bike tries to lurch forward.
I have made adjustment as per repair manual.
Any input?

My bike does this because the clutch itself isn't very well lubricated so pulling the lever in doesn't do anything if it's cold.

It's only after I've ran the bike for a few miles, turned it off, then started it up in gear that it has actually not lurched.

I know its a bit costly, but it may be a case of rebuilding the clutch with new clutch plates.

Also - I've replaced my cable once already. (Snapped it in a town centre and had to ride clutch-less for about 12 miles to get it home). And that did nothing about the cold-start in gear lurching.
