KC, I don't have any personal experience with tsukayu products, however friends of mine have. I asked them about their fairings, and their replies were to make sure your brackets are specifically designed for your bike. One guy tried to make custom brackets and wished he'd spent the extra money for correct ones. Heard the same about the saddlebags. Good luck with your search, and let us know what you decide on.

Hey Keith,
the fairing come with the quick release for the vstar 1100
and the bags come with the mounts thank god

the faring loaded as shown in $899 + $60 shipping us
the handle bar controller is $150
the bags are $399 + $60

so the total not including import duties is $1568 lol

I have a tsukayu classic fairing and I love it. One word of advice buy the fairing without their so called marine speakers. I was curious and removed the outer shell to see if they were actually marine grade as they advertised it on their website but they weren't. No big deal I replaced them with a good set of Polk marine speakers and added an amp now she's sounds crisp and loud. As for the fairing its good quality fibreglass. When I bought the fairing I made the mistake in not buying their hard bags and our CDN dollar sucks at the moment. And not too mention they're charging $60US for shipping as when I bought the fairing it was free

hi Joe,
im tossed between buying it with the gps stereo loaded in it or using my pioneer one.. the dollar does suck i just did the exchange and it works out to be $1957 shipped ..
did u get the 5/8 or 10" windshield? is yours a quick connect? how did it fit how does it look around the headlight?
and is the $340 worth it for the deck 2 gig sd card 12volt power supply?

K Coleman I would buy it without speakers and deck. You might save yourself some money there. If have a Pioneer deck use it why spend the extra money if you don't have to...that's just me. I don't believe these fairings are quick disconnect. That's the reason I bought mine for my 1300. There is enough clearance with fairing and headlight no issue..,

I'm 5'10 and went with the 8" tinted shield but I just replaced mine with a Klockwerks 8.5 flare shield. The good thing about these fairing you can always replace them with any 3 hole pattern HD shields or aftermarket 3 hole shields for that matter.

As for the 2 gig SD card it doesn't hold too many tunes...mine was included in the pkg. I would get the 12 volt power supply especially when you need to recharge your cell phone. I'll be using my GPS more this year and that 12 volt power supply will come handy...

the pioneer is a double din dvd with nav built in to it. and sd on the front as well i was mainy thinking of the handle bar controls..

i contacted them they want 40 to have just the 12v power supply put in . i have a body man that's gonna paint it on the cheap for me, so im thinking i can just order one on ebay and have him put it in..
i been thinking on splitting the harness for the ipod adapter and also putting in a usb along side of the cigarette lighter for more tunes

i think this is gonna be a work in progress lol i think im going to order the 8" curvy tinted as im only 5'7"

Can anyone with the batwing style fairing comment on the pros and cons of the batwing vs. just a windscreen? How does wind noise, and buffeting compare?

I just bought a 2013 1300 (not the touring model), and am thinking of adding a batwing. My previous bikes only had windscreens. Since I'm only 5'9" the stock touring windscreen was to tall so I know I need something shorter, and since I plan to do solo touring in Colorado this summer like the idea of the additional wind protection.

Would appreciate any feedback I can get!

Hi, I added a batwing fairing and I enjoy it. I added the 12" clear windshield and have no buffeting issues and I feel like I have more stability with the wind being redirected around me.
