Anyone know what carb is on a 2002 V star 1100? and what the stock jet size is?

Stock is 112.5 in the front and 110 for the rear carb. Move the 112.5 to the rear and buy a 115 for the front. They are Mikuni small round main jets. You shouldn't need anything else. If your local metric dealer doesn't have the jet, your Harley dealer will. They run about $5.

Don't forget to synch your carbs when you finish.....all the info you need is in the link in my signature.

Nope..... there isn't that much of a performance change. You'll probably have to turn the PMS out 1/4 to 1/2 turn on each carb to stop the backfire. That's all you'll need until you change the intake to something other than stock.

New pipes and Jets in today. hard part was the float bowl screws. like they where put in with a impact gun. someone had it apart before but it still had the stock Jets in it. changed to the 112.5 & 115 above suggested set up. no real backfiring to speak of. Cobra sent one wrong clamp for the heat shield, needed to make extra trip to the store.

Glad you got it going....

I always replace the bowl screws with stainless socket cap screws
