Just a quick review Cobra slip on & Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro Tuner

My bike is a 2014 V950 with just over 200 miles on it.
First I threw the new Cobra 2215 slip on muffler on & gave it ago.
This muffler is loud at least loud for my taste but it's a nice loud.
Apparently the stock ECU setup can't handle this pipe as the back fires on deceleration was way worse than the stock muffler.
Yes the pops were louder but it popped way more than stock.
On hand was my Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro Tuner as part of my intended mods.
Installation was relatively easy, propped up the tank and was able to get to the injectors and do the wiring. The lead going to the O2 sensor was a breeze, install ground wire to battery and done.
Now the test ride, first I could already smell the idle was richer.
Not excessive but you know the Fi2000 is doing it's job.
Overall the bike seemed to perform better but the noise makes it deceiving because loud pipes sounds like power.
Now the deceleration test was it better? Absolutely better compared to stock w/o FMS. While the Fi2000 does not take care of all the popping you can tell it's giving it a good try because the sound is a rumble rather than popping with the occasional pops depending on engine speed and gear you're in.
Overall I'm happy and it's fun to crack the throttle and hear the pipes but it's also nice to just get into a cruise and the pipes just hum.
Thumbs up on the muffler and the self tuning Fi2000.

Here are a couple of pics.
One of my reasons for the Cobra muffler was that I didn't care for the large obtrusive size of the stocker.
Next up will be my Mustang Daytripper one piece seat. Should be delivered in a few days.

Dan, now you get to feel what I did after the upgrades on my 950t. If you decide to upgrade your air intake, you'll feel the proverbial icing on the cake. Looks great and congrats on the mods.

Thanks Keith,
I have a K&N filter on the way and will mod the original air box accordingly.
It's nice not having to fool with fuel management regardless of any modifications.
That's why I chose the CVT PowrPro tuner instead of playing with maps etc., I want to ride not fiddle.

I hear ya, that's why I also went with fi2000r, I wanted to ride and feel the overall difference as well. For me, riding 2up with the upgrades was a major improvement. I think you'll be pleased with the Mustang seat.

Good to hear you approve or have the seat I'm getting delivered tomorrow. I've heard good things about it and I like the one piece design.

Thanks for this review. I am looking at getting the Fi2000 for my road star. Dan, where did you buy yours? The MSRP is a little steep at $600 for my model.
