Handlebar swap - Some questions

I bought a Bitwell Mustache bar for the V star 650. No problem removing the old gear and swapping the bar. 3 things I need to know.

1. On the stock bar there is a small 1/4" hole where the throttle mechanism aligns and fits into. On the new bar there is not. When I have the bar all lined up so I just drill a similar hole to secure the throttle mechanism to?

2. The new bars I have are smooth where it clamps to the tree, whereas the stock bars have those ridges. Is this an issue?

3. I need to adjust the angle at which the clutch line connects to the clutch mechanism. I tried removing the 10mm nut that holes the connector on but it wasn't moving. Is it just really tight or am I missing something here?
