Garmin 665 GPS Bluetooth is flaky. Doesn't play well with a lot of other devices. Here's a couple issues I've had.
I tried to Bluetooth connect my iPhone to the Garmin and then my Sena headsets to the Garmin, and that didn't work well at all. I could make calls, receive calls, etc., but incoming audio while on call, terrible. So distorted I couldn't understand the person on the other end. Garmin was no help said some equipment won't work with their GPS's Bluetooth. I connected my iPhone directly to the Sena headsets and works clearly. Sena's to the GPS for turn by turn directions and music is fine too. Did like being able to see who was calling on the GPS display though and being able to reject the call and send to vmail to listen too later.
Jump ahead to my installing the Fusion AM/FM Aux stereo head unit. Same issues with Garmin Bluetooth. I originally wanted to connect the GPS to the head unit via Fusion's Bluetooth module. 3 different phones connected to the Fusion Bluetooth module but the Garmin GPS would not. Called Garmin again and same lame answer, some equipment won't work with their GPS's Bluetooth. I ended up hard wiring the GPS to the AUX in on the Fusion head unit via a 3.5mm to RCA adapter cable. Works fine.
