Wanting to see pics of 650 Customs with riders...

I think it would be interesting to see some photos of people sitting on their 650 Customs. You see, we're supposed to be having a shiny brand-spanking-new "liquid silver" 650 Custom delivered on the weekend for the Missus, (her first bike... and for me to ride too, I hope!!) but I wonder if I may look like a giant on it? I have noticed that the HD Sportster lineup (and even the Indian Scout) looks kinda puny with even a regular-sized guy in the saddle, so just wondering if the same may hold true for the 650 Custom. (though I do see that the 650 is longer by several inches) So, if any of you have pics of you sitting on your 650 Custom, and perhaps also state your height/weight to give us some idea, then let's see 'em!

Here's a couple pics of my 5'-0" wife sitting on her new toy in the showroom.

Thanks!!!!
Glen

Well, looks like Sunday will be the big day... the day my brand-spanking-new V-Star Custom finally gets delivered. As I suspected, the dealership will only bring it as far as the ferry terminal, (on the "mainland" side) and I will put it on the ferry and ride it the rest of the way home. And more good news... they were going to charge $200 to deliver the bike to the ferry terminal, a distance of some 500+ kms from the dealership, (so over 1,000 kms round trip for them!) but after a bit of squawking on my part they're bringing it free of charge! They also drastically reduced their labour charge for installing a bunch of goodies, including "MC Enterprises" highway bars, aftermarket ("Clevver") clutch lever assembly, a clutch adjustment kit, chrome solo luggage rack, (in place of rear seat) and Vizi-Tek's "SupaBrake III" brake light modulator.

Technically speaking, the V-Star will be the Missus' bike, but I will likely be putting more miles on it than she will, as she works a LOT, and she won't be wanting to ride it after dark to/from work, at least not for another year or two. She's never been on a bike before, but (at age 52) will be taking the riders safety course this weekend.

I finally got out on my beloved 2014 Honda CB500FA (naked roadster) last week and had an absolute blast. Another week or so and my rides should become daily! And now with TWO gorgeous bikes to choose from!

Well, we're back from a weekend in St. John's, where the Missus passed her motorcycle course. She is exhausted after a straight 12 hours on a bike, but is very happy to have her "diploma". And we now have a second bike in the driveway! As planned, the dealership delivered the new V-Star some 500 kms from St. John's to our ferry terminal, and I rode it onto the ferry, and then the 25 kms home. It was a frigid 1 degree Celsius, and I have never been so cold in my life! No pics of the beast yet, as it is covered up and pouring rain at the moment, though the weather is expected to improve in a few days, so I will post a couple pics then. But I can say, from my very little time on the new bike, that the forward foot pegs take a bit of getting used to; I found myself hunting for pegs below my butt out of habit. I will add that I absolutely love the throbbing V-Twin, and the look of the bike. I think I am in love!

More to come once I have spent a bit of time on the V-Star. Here is a shot of the wife riding a well-used little Suzuki Marauder while taking the bike course on Saturday.
