cut down rear fender/mudguard

has anyone cut down the rear mudguard on their customs? I have went side mount number plate and tail light and want to cut down the plastic as it now sticks way too far past the wheel..

I cant go too far however as I need to be able to have the pillion seat and rack on at times

any pictures?

I'm in the same boat. Seen lots of lowered bikes that look fantastic, but none with stock suspension and no adjustments to subframe.... hopefully someone has an idea. I too need to keep stock seats and bag mounts

This bike (not mine) looks like a job well done on stock cut/chop and looks like stock seats would work.... But I think he has lowered it because mine definitely sits higher.

I know I can't lower mine because I already scrape subframe in the turns....
