Gas smells after riding

Hey all past week that I have been riding I have experienced some pretty good gas smells. Now it has been hot, so I am wondering if its just the gas venting or if something else may be the issue. There are no leaks that I can see and no puddles of gas around. In the morning the gas smell is gone.

At one point after riding I was inspecting the bike, laying down on the ground I noticed a ton of vapors coming out of the breathing tube. Normal?

Since I am new to cruisers this may just be something that I am not accustomed to. My last bike the Honda NC700 never had this issue.

2014 vstar 950 tourer.

Thanks!

White Castle, or Krystal's will do it to me, however since I added the fairing and it redirects the area around me, so I don't smell a thing now.

950's had a recall on leaking fuel hoses..... I'd check that.

I had a Yamaha 6R and it made my garage smell like gas and I couldn't narrow it down until started taking the fairing apart and found a leaking hose coming from the fuel filter.
