Star 1100 hard bags

I'm having a hard time determining the biggest bags I can get without a ton of modifications and running stock exhaust. Any help/suggestions?

I have aftermarket exhaust but I put on the Mustang hard bags with EZ brackets. The bags are really big but the EZ brackets allow a little flexibility in where you position the bags to help with fit.

These are the bags that were on my bike when I bought it. I've seen them on eBay for $300 shipped. I can put a 12 pack of cokes in one, with room for my lunch bag. I had to add some spacers to the left bag so the bolts that mount the rear hub to the swing arm wouldn't hit the bottom of the bag when the suspension went to almost full travel.

Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.

Not stock exhaust, but not sure there's a big difference. I've got National Cycle Cruiseliner hardbags. Love 'em.

Here you go. Bought them used off of eBay and then had them painted to match. I can put a couple of gallon jugs in each bag, and still have room left over.

I like those - I'd rather they go down further, similar to a street glide. Guess I really need to get exhaust that's a little lower. Maybe a 2 into 1.

ammo cans any size. any flavor. paint to match.

drill holes to use existing brackets with longer bolts and spacers from hardware store. paid $20 per bag. mine are 20mm cans. The image uploader is giving me a fit right now. I'll try the pics again later
